Here's today's Final Jeopardy (in the category Current TV Streaks) for Wednesday, October 28, 2026 (Season 43, Game 33):
The longest-tenured male actor on a primetime show, he released the now ironically titled album "Home Invasion" back in 1993
(correct response beneath the contestants)
Today's Jeopardy! contestants:
Shannon enters today's game as a 3-day champion with winnings of $40,602.
Andy's Pregame Thoughts:
Shannon Leigh Godwin is now a 3-time Jeopardy! champion; we'll definitely be seeing her again on the Alex Trebek Stage in the winter of 2028. However, before then, we get to see how far up the postseason ladder she gets, as she's still 2 wins away from automatic qualification in the 35th Tournament of Champions. Looking to stop Shannon from getting a fourth victory are a pair of contestants who will give me a bit of a game-charting nightmare in Stefanie Landeweer and Spencer Murphy. (Say what you will about the guy on YouTube who puts together the particularly stalkery videos about the contestants, but at least he doesn't misgender anyone!)
I often get people in unapproved comments telling me that I need to ignore Reddit. In rebuttal, I'd like to say that a site being amplified by a writer whose work is being syndicated on dozens of websites is pretty hard to ignore. So I'm going to take the time as necessary to make criticisms of other spaces, regardless of what those spaces are. And, in this case, the assertion being made on Reddit, being amplified on dozens of websites at the moment, that the lack of five-time champions this season is a result of the material being more difficult is patently incorrect. Contestants who are capable of handling more difficult material have either not existed, had less-than-stellar strategy leading to an early downfall, or have simply gotten unlucky. But more difficult material generally leads to longer contestant runs on average, as fewer attempts on average causes less volatility and variance on the signaling device.
Furthermore, I would say that there is also a correlation between the average amount of time it takes for lead poisoning to take effect, the average age of a Jeopardy! viewer, the banning of leaded paints and gasoline in North America, and the recent uptick in complaints regarding the difficulty of the show.

(The following write-up is original content and is copyright 2026 The Jeopardy! Fan. It may not be copied without linked attribution back to this page.)
The character Fin Tutuola, portrayed by rapper-turned-actor Ice-T, has been a part of Law and Order: Special Victims Unit since that show's second season, setting the record for the longest-tenured male actor on a live-action primetime show. Interestingly, his castmate Mariska Hargitay holds the outright record for her portrayal of Olivia Benson on the same show.
So, why would you ask for Ice-T over Hargitay? I would say that the musical "in" makes for a more interesting clue.
I should also note that the clue as published as part of "Clue of the Day" may not be the clue that made it to air—for some reason, last-minute changes to clues, if they are made, do not make it into the show's database, and the show needs to change that policy. Because all it does is make die-hard viewers angry online unnecessarily.
