Today's Jeopardy! contestants:

Kayla Patel, a recent graduate from Mount Laurel, New Jersey
Sam Robison, a teacher from Birmingham, Alabama
Anthony Cantor, a television & podcast producer from Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Anthony enters today's game as a 2-day champion with winnings of $42,401.

Andy's Pregame Thoughts:

In my experience, Ivy League schools generally don't care when their alumni make it onto the program. So, when in the spring, when Princeton University hyped Jamie Ding before he won 31 games, it was noteworthy in my eyes. Having learned from back in the spring, it definitely caught my attention yesterday, when, on Facebook, I saw the University of Pennsylvania hyping up challenger Kayla Patel's appearance in today's game. Meanwhile, there are two other contestants in this game as well: Sam Robison of Alabama and Anthony Cantor, your 2-time defending champion from Toronto.

This is also a reminder that tomorrow evening at 9:00 PM Eastern, exclusively on Jeopardy!'s YouTube channel, you'll be able to watch Jeopardy! YouTube Edition Volume 2 between Challenge Accepted's Michelle Khare, SMOSH's Angela Giarratana, and Mythical Chef Josh Scherer. Don't worry if YouTubers aren't your thing, either—"Regular Virginia" Jeopardy! will air at its usual time in its usual location.

Correct response: What is the Terracotta Army?

More Information About Final Jeopardy!:

(The following write-up is original content and is copyright 2026 The Jeopardy! Fan. It may not be copied without linked attribution back to this page.)

Located in the Lintong District in Xi'an, Shaanxi, China, the Terracotta Army is a depiction of Qin Shi Huang's army; they were buried with the emperor in the late 200s BCE in his mausoleum. They were rediscovered in 1974 by area farmers attempting to dig a well in the area near the Qin necropolis.

Playing this clue at home, I certainly didn't know it cold, but the correct response definitely seemed the best thing to guess. I expect that others familiar with the artifacts will have a similar experience. I should also note that while sources like the Smithsonian do use the term "terracotta warriors" to refer to the group, encyclopedic sources like Britannica use the term "Terracotta Army".
