Warning: This page contains spoilers for the August 26, 2026, second game of Jeopardy! Masters — please do not scroll down if you wish to avoid being spoiled. As this game is being aired earlier in Canada, this page will be updated once this game finishes airing on CTV Halifax (at about 8:00 PM Atlantic / 7:00 PM Eastern).
This game's Jeopardy! Masters contestants:
Yogesh enters this game with a 16-16 career win-loss record and 1 point thus far in the tournament. Paolo enters this game with a 13-1 career win-loss record and 3 points thus far in the tournament. Victoria enters this game with a 20-7 career win-loss record and 3 points thus far in the tournament.
Andy's Pre-Game Thoughts:
Our second half of Match Day 2 features our two winners from Match Day 1—Victoria Groce and Paolo Pasco—facing off against Yogesh Raut. Interestingly, Yogesh being drawn into this game, after only scoring 1 point in the opener, drops his chances of qualifying for the semifinals so significantly that it reduces his overall chances of winning Masters by a full 2% as compared to a random draw. (Not that this has stopped Yogesh before; he famously got off to a slow start in the 2024 Tournament of Champions final before coming back to win that event as well.)
Both Victoria and Paolo come into this game on a high, with Victoria having seemingly perfected her buzzer timing already, while Paolo became only the 4th player to run a category in Jeopardy! Masters (after James Holzhauer, Brad Rutter, and Juveria Zaheer). Certainly, Yogesh's buzzer success rate of only 16-for-45 on Match Day 1 is worrisome for his title-defense chances.
In terms of what the Unified Prediction Model says, here are our players' chances of victory today:
Victoria: 39.2% to win, 29.6% to finish second;
Paolo 28.0% to win, 33.9% to finish second;
Yogesh 32.8% to win, 36.5% to finish second.
Finally, on a scheduling note for the Canadians: While tonight's episode airs as normal at 8:00 (7:00 Central) on ABC, tonight's game is airing at 7 PM local time in a number of Canadian markets this evening, which means that tonight's results will be posted once the game has finished airing on CTV Halifax, which is 8:00 PM Atlantic time (7:00 PM Eastern).
