Warning: This page contains spoilers for the September 1, 2026, second game of Jeopardy! Masters — please do not scroll down if you wish to avoid being spoiled. It will be updated alongside the Eastern Time airing of the show, beginning at about 8:30 PM Eastern.

This game's Jeopardy! Masters contestants:

Long Nguyen, a retired engineer from Las Vegas, Nevada
Paolo Pasco, a puzzle writer originally from San Diego, California
Victoria Groce, an author and speaker from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Long enters this game with a 6-7 career win-loss record and 5 points thus far in the tournament. Paolo enters this game with a 13-4 career win-loss record and 6 points thus far in the tournament. Victoria enters this game with a 22-8 career win-loss record and 9 points thus far in the tournament.

Andy's Pregame Thoughts:

Victoria Groce, Paolo Pasco, and Long Nguyen compete in Quarterfinal #10 of Jeopardy! Masters.

How much our second game of the evening, quarterfinal #10, matters for semifinal qualification might be very dependent on how our first game of the evening goes. If Yogesh wins quarterfinal #9, both Paolo and Long are in a much more comfortable position. However, if either Juveria or Andrew pull out a victory in the opener, it becomes much more interesting, and both Paolo and Long will need results in this game in order to keep pace. Long seemingly was able to ring in at will in his last game, getting in first on 80% of his buzzer attempts last Friday evening. Things could get very frustrating for both Victoria and Paolo if that continues for Long. That being said, Victoria has qualified for the semifinals by virtue of her three victories so far.

How does the Unified Prediction Model think this game will play out?
Victoria: 41.5% chance of winning, 30.6% chance to finish second;
Paolo: 30.2% chance of winning, 35.5% chance to finish second;
Long: 28.3% chance of winning, 33.9% chance to finish second.
