This game's Jeopardy! Masters contestants:
Andrew enters this game with a 18-20 career win-loss record and 1 point thus far in the tournament. Juveria enters this game with a 10-14 career win-loss record and 3 points thus far in the tournament. Yogesh enters this game with a 18-17 career win-loss record and 8 points thus far in the tournament.
Andy's Pregame Thoughts:
Jeopardy! Masters returns to the airwaves this evening; our first game tonight features Yogesh Raut, Juveria Zaheer, and Andrew He. This is an incredibly important game for all three players, as none of them have qualified for the semifinals. It's definitely in "must-win" territory for Andrew, who needs at least 4 more points to reach Long Nguyen, currently holding down fourth place. While Juveria is two points behind Long right now, a pair of seconds may not be good enough for her to get back to fourth place. Meanwhile, if the results break the wrong way for Yogesh, he could fall from second place to fifth. However, an Andrew win tonight would ensure Yogesh's qualification, as would a Yogesh win. (Second wouldn't quite clinch Yogesh's spot if Juveria wins, despite Yogesh's correct response advantage at the moment.)
What does the Unified Prediction Model think?
Yogesh: 37.1% chance of winning, 35.7% chance to finish second;
Juveria: 30.6% chance of winning, 33.1% chance to finish second;
Andrew: 32.3% chance of winning, 31.2% chance to finish second.
