Oh, yeah, I remember this one! This was the day when one of my competing websites, ostensibly with the assistance of AI, got this Final Jeopardy completely wrong. As I said back in May, “Countries in the Caribbean are part of the Americas, Haiti’s official languages are French and Haitian Creole, and it’s smaller than Suriname, whose official language is Dutch.”

Game Recap:

Ellen Goldlust came very close to doing in this game what Marissa Klein did on Monday in regular play, except that Ellen only went 0-for-2 on the Daily Doubles. Ben, though, did enough to cement a runaway despite missing the game’s final Daily Double.

Final Jeopardy saw all three players stay on the mainland, all guessing Suriname and forgetting about the various islands in the Caribbean. No matter for Ben, though, as he picks up his fifth victory.

Next week’s weekend encore presentation features Ben going for win #6 against Sarah Gillis and Keegan Olson.
