Andy’s Pregame Thoughts:
Today sees the last semifinal of Jeopardy! Second Chance (presented by Moderna). Nikkee Porcaro, Do Park, and Rowan Ward make their returns to the show. Most pundits are favoring Rowan to even make a Tournament of Champions run, to the point that the tabloids even picked it up on a slow news day! Anything can and has happened in these games, though — who will join Sadie Goldberger and Jack Weller in the finals?
On a more personal note, it is the time of year for the twice-yearly Gamers vs. MS 168-hour online fundraiser! 24 different Twitch streamers will be live between 8 AM Eastern on October 22 and 8 AM Eastern on October 29, raising money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada. Canada has one of the world’s highest rates of multiple sclerosis (MS), with an estimated 1 in every 385 Canadians living with the disease. I completed my own part in the charity relay yesterday, and I’d like to thank everyone for their help in raising $262.96 for the MS Society of Canada! You can find more information about this fall’s relay at gamersvsms.ca.

The Trevi Fountain is a very famous fountain located in Rome, Italy, that has been featured in numerous films—1954’s Three Coins in the Fountain being the most famous. Since 2001, Caritas Rome has been the beneficiary of coins tossed in the fountain. Interestingly, in late 2018/early 2019, there was a minor hullaballoo after the City of Rome threatened to use the coins thrown in the fountain to pay for city maintenance projects. However, the city retracted that position after public outcry.

Do had the best time on the signaling device, but Rowan had enough at the bottom of the board to lead at the opening break. Coming out of the break, Rowan put on a signaling device clinic, picking up 13 correct to take a commanding lead!
