In today’s second Second Chance semifinal, we see Andrew Whatley, Randall Rayford, and Rachel Cohen. Andrew put up over $20,000 going into Final Jeopardy against Yogesh Raut (much like Michael Cavaliere, who won yesterday), while Randall lost to Cris Pannullo and Rachel Cohen lost to Ray Lalonde. I suspect Andrew is the strongest player of the three, but that’s certainly no guarantee of on-stage performance!

Film noir (literally translated as “black film” or “dark film”) is a famed Hollywood film genre whose heyday was in the 1940s and 1950s. While the definition is oft-debated among film historians, the genre is often seen as the film extension of Depression-era American crime fiction. Classic films in the genre in the National Film Registry include The Maltese Falcon, Double Indemnity, The Big Sleep, Sunset Boulevard, and Notorious.

By the end of the round, Randall lead, but the scores were very interesting, as Andrew’s and Rachel’s total equalled Randall’s!
