Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn’s The Gulag Archipelago was a non-fiction text, first published in 1973, written during the 1950s and 1960s and that told of the conditions within the Soviet Union’s Gulags, or prison camps. Solzhenitsyn himself spent eight years as a Gulag prisoner for criticizing Stalin while serving in the Red Army. Solzhenitsyn’s time in the Gulag empowered him to expose the countless human rights abuses committed by the Soviet dictatorship. Because the work, even while being written, was considered contraband, Solzhenitsyn completed parts of the work in different locations; the finished microfilm was smuggled out of the Soviet Union to Zurich, Switzerland. The work, which was viewed as a major challenge to the Soviet dictatorship, sold tens of millions of copies worldwide.

- I know a lot of viewers will want to blame the guest host for unplayed clues. However, there were 8 combined incorrect responses and 8 Triple Stumpers in Double Jeopardy; to me, I thought Bill did well to keep things to just 2 clues unplayed.
- I was very happy to see Jeopardy! include a clue about Sam Smith’s 2019 announcement of their using they/them pronouns. I would love to see Jeopardy! ask for, and include, each contestant’s pronouns going forward.
