Two and a half months after Woodstock ’99 made headlines for the terrible behaviour of its attendees, the Coachella festival debuted at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA, 150 miles southeast of Los Angeles. Coachella has since turned into one of America’s preeminent music and arts festivals. The Empire Polo Club was seen as viable for large-scale events after Pearl Jam played a concert there for 25,000; Pearl Jam was refusing to play in Los Angeles itself due to Ticketmaster’s exorbitant fees (even in the 1990s, this was a thing.) Rolling Stone magazine has a review of the first Coachella.

Our challenger Mallory got off to the best start, picking up the Daily Double en route to a lead! She consolidated that lead after the interviews as well, picking up 13 correct in Single Jeopardy! (Also, in case you haven’t seen it, someone on Reddit posted a clip in the last 24 hours of Ken using the term “Single Jeopardy” as well. It’s a thing, and it was improper for fans to criticize Mayim for using it.)

Danielle roared back in Double Jeopardy today, picking up both Daily Doubles in the first 8 clues and keeping Mallory off the scoreboard over the first 13 clues of the round. Unfortunately, there was some methodical play and 14 Triple Stumpers today; that led to three unplayed clues. Danielle led going into Final with $13,400, with Mallory in 2nd at $9,100 and Cherry at $2,800.
In Final today, only Mallory got it correct; she becomes Jeopardy! champion because of this and gets to defend her title tomorrow!

Danielle: Standard cover bet today is $4,801. However, if you absolutely despise the category, you might want to consider a bet between $2 and $3,798 (the $2 in case Mallory chooses to bet to pass your score by $1, and the $3,798 because Mallory has significant occasion to bet no more than $500.)
Mallory: To have the best chance of winning, you need to stay above $8,600. Limit your bet to no more than $500. However, if you really have a read that Danielle is going to bet small, though, bet at least $8,100 and consider going all-in in order to force a cover.
