The 2013 book Inferno is the fourth book in Dan Brown’s Robert Langdon series, which takes its title, and some plot point inspiration from, the famous first work of Italian poet Dante’s Divine Comedy from seven centuries earlier. Much like The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons (but not The Lost Symbol and Origin), it was adapted into a film starring Tom Hanks and directed by Ron Howard.

Eric got off to a very strong start, holding a strong lead at the interviews (in spite of a bit of a weird texting abbreviation category from the writers). Coming out of the break, Eric got goaded into going all-in by Mayim on the Daily Double, only to watch his score fall to $0. However, he nearly re-took the lead over the last 13 clues of the round. Michael held the lead after 30, with Eric second and Elaine third.

Andy’s Thoughts:
- I see that the writers have gone back to the nonsensical never-used texting abbreviations. Honestly, that category just should be shelved—it just makes the writers look like that “How’re you doing, fellow kids?” meme.
- The fact that the first Daily Double was a mere speed bump along the way to Eric’s dominance of this game is another very good reason for players to always go for a True Daily Double in the opening round of the game.
