Here’s today’s Final Jeopardy (in the category American Women) for Tuesday, February 22, 2022 (Season 38, Game 117):

In 1914 she received a patent on a trefoil emblem, which she would transfer to an organization a few years later

(correct response beneath the contestants)

Today’s contestants:

Holly Ambler, a user experience researcher from Seattle, Washington

Holly Ambler on Jeopardy!

Hieu Ton-That, a trauma surgeon from Chicago, Illinois

Hieu Ton-That on Jeopardy!

Henry Rozycki, a physician & professor from Richmond, Virginia (1-day total: $20,101)

Henry Rozycki on Jeopardy!

Andy’s Pregame Thoughts: Henry Rozycki continued the carousel of recent champions with his victory on yesterday’s program. Today, Hieu Ton-That and Holly Ambler are today’s challengers. Henry actually had the least number of buzzer attempts of yesterday’s three players—but, of course, that’s not the stat the counts in the end.

In other Jeopardy! news, the final of the 2022 Jeopardy! National College Championship airs tonight on ABC prime time (8:00 Eastern/Pacific, 7:00 Mountain/Central), as UT-Austin’s Jaskaran Singh, Northeastern’s Liz Feltner, and Kennesaw State’s Raymond Goslow do battle for a $250,000 first prize. (You can find the recap for the game here.)

PSA: The best way to keep COVID-19 at bay (and keep Jeopardy! producing new episodes) is for everybody to get their vaccinations as soon as they are able to, including any boosters as recommended. When wearing a mask, please ensure that your mask covers both your nose and your mouth.

Correct response: Who is Juliette Gordon Low?

More information about Final Jeopardy: (The following write-up is original content and is copyright 2022 The Jeopardy! Fan. It may not be copied without linked attribution back to this page.)

Juliette Gordon Low was the founder of the Girl Scouts of America; she patented the organization’s famed trefoil emblem shortly after the organization’s founding. When she decided to step down as President of the organization a few years later, she transferred the patent to the organization, in exchange for Low’s name being kept on the organization’s stationery (and membership cards) in perpetuity.
