Good morning, Jeopardy! fans! There are going to be some small changes being made to the site over the next little while. I’m going to be upgrading a few things, and branching out into topics that are more than just Jeopardy! recaps. While the majority of the site will still consist of the recaps, there are a few other passions of mine, like sim-racing, that I’d like to give some space to in my little corner of the Internet. The Jeopardy! community is mourning the loss of Brayden Smith, who passed away on February 5. The Brayden Smith Memorial Fund has been established, dedicated to furthering the educational aspirations of Southern Nevada students.

Andy’s Pregame Thoughts: Morgan picked up over $20,000 yesterday in her first win. The lack of long-term champions has turned into a meme over on the Jeopardy! subreddit, where people will jokingly proclaim that every new champion has what it takes to win five games. For Morgan to reach that milestone, she’ll definitely need to find more good luck on the signalling device.

Correct response: What is The Phantom of the Opera?

The Phantom of the Opera is an Andrew Lloyd Webber musical which has run for over 13,000 performances since opening 33 years ago on Broadway.
An interesting point that I’d like to bring up here, because I’m sure someone will quote want to quote Wikipedia at me: While Brad Little has had more performances of the lead role of The Phantom worldwide, his performances in the role have been as part of touring shows and not on Broadway. Howard McGillin does hold the Broadway record — do note that the category title does specifically make reference to Broadway roles. Another interesting thing: Wikipedia was edited with this information in the interim between the taping of this episode and its airing — these episodes were taped in January, whereas the Wikipedia articles on Howard McGillin (and correspondingly, Brad Little) were edited on February 23.
