The Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament continues today with quarterfinal #4, featuring Raymond Goslow, Troy Meyer, and Jackie Kelly. Raymond finished second to Jaskaran Singh in the primetime college tournament held on ABC back in 2022 after having a strong tournament, while Jackie Kelly was a 4-time champion in Season 38 who was competitive in the 30^th Tournament of Champions. Our third player in this game, though, is a player that a lot of fans think will go far in this tournament—Troy Meyer. He was a 6-time champion who reached the finals of the 31^st Tournament of Champions before falling to Yogesh Raut in the final. The Unified Prediction Model also has Troy as the favorite to win this event.

That being said, this is a reminder that there is significant variance in modern Jeopardy!, especially when it comes to Daily Doubles and Final Jeopardy, and there is always a very good chance for an upset.

The American city of Albuquerque, New Mexico, one of the major centers of the American Southwest, was named after the Spanish town of Alburquerque, located just north of Badajoz in western Spain, near the Spain–Portugal border. The American city gets its name due to the fact that the Viceroy of New Spain at its founding in 1706 was Francisco Fernández de la Cueva, the Duke of Alburquerque.
