In terms of getting to the correct response on this clue, I think that a player needs to get to either Monaco or Mongolia really quickly (also, I think that the clue is easier if you can get Monaco first, personally, because “an Asian MON- country” is probably easier to think of because of its size, as opposed to getting Mongolia and trying to think of small European MON- countries) and then dredge up the other half. I also think this was slightly easier than the Landlocked Country Names Final back on July 11.
That said: If you’re in the contestant pool, or even about to tape, I would heartily recommend studying countries of the world, especially noting countries with similar names.
