Correct response: What is Wellington, New Zealand?
More information about Final Jeopardy:
Out of possible concerns that the South Island might become a separate colony, New Zealand moved its capital from Auckland in the 1860s. Wellington was chosen due to its location on the Cook Strait as well as its harbor; it was said at the time that it would have been possible to fit the entire fleet of the Royal Navy in the harbor. Parliament first officially met in Wellington in 1865; its population at the time just 4,900. The city was named for the Duke of Wellington, who famously defeated Napoleon at Waterloo in 1815.
