Welcome to another week on Jeopardy!; after her win on Friday, Chicago’s Tamara Ghattas returns as champion. She’ll be facing off today against Long Islander Nicole Rudolph and Kansas City’s Kevin Manning.
For those of you who have yet to hear the announcement, the premiere date of Jeopardy! Masters, hosted by Ken Jennings, has been set by ABC: Monday, May 8. With a finale date of Wednesday, May 24 also set, it definitely appears as though this competition will air multiple nights a week. A frequent complaint amongst Jeopardy! fans in 2022 regarding the Jeopardy! National College Championship was that it was very difficult for viewers to handle what was essentially three games of Jeopardy! in one day (the regular syndicated game, as well as the hour-long prime time episode). Would it have killed ABC to have, say, put this competition on a Sunday night for its duration, thereby preventing burnout amongst its diehard viewer base?
In better news, there are rumors from some of my friends who cover Wheel of Fortune that there may be something of interest happening in early May on the Celebrity Wheel of Fortune side of things.

The well-known gaseous substance ammonia got its name from the Egyptian worshippers of the god Amun—the Ammonians. A temple to Amun was built near Siwa, Egypt, near a large amount of ammonium chloride (a substance that the Ammonians used in their rites). When the Romans began extracting the ammonium chloride, they named it sal ammoniacus in honor of the Egyptian god. When ammonium chloride is exposed to heat, it gives off ammonia gas; Swedish chemist Torbern Bergman coined the term “ammonia” in the 18th century.
