Happy Monday! The week of Jeopardy! kicks off this week with a player having an opportunity to end the tournament with a win: Ben Chan picked up his second come-from-behind $1 victory on Friday, bringing him win away from the $250,000 first prize and the spot in Jeopardy! Masters. However, both Yogesh and Troy aren’t going to go down without a fight.

One important thing to remember that came up in last year’s final: when Andrew He got to 2 victories, there were situations where he was in third place going into Final Jeopardy. Amy Schneider then began to deliberately not make cover bets from the lead in order to prevent Andrew from being able to “back into” a third victory. It would not surprise me to see the same thing happen to Ben if Ben were in third place going into Final.

Zvartnots International Airport is the airport servicing Yerevan, the capital city of the former Soviet republic of Armenia. The city is, interestingly, connected to Noah’s Ark and Mount Ararat; it reputedly got its name because “Yerevats!” means “It appeared!” in Armenian; Noah was said to have looked upon the area following the famed flood’s recession. Zvartnots itself gets its name from the town of Zvartnots, located about 6 miles west of Yerevan.

In another case of “the writers are prescient again”, while this obviously would have taken place in between taping and airing, Zvartnots International Airport recently made minor international news when Russian border guards were removed from the airport.

• Ken’s behavior to Troy’s incorrect response on the “Jesus Christ Superstar” clue (where Troy responded with “Fiddler on the Roof” is exactly why he makes such a good host of the show. He seems so comfortable making these jokes because he knows the material so well.
