Here’s today’s Final Jeopardy (in the category Movie Titles) for Monday, June 9, 2025 (Season 41, Game 196):

Nikhil Joshi on Jeopardy!

Andy’s Pregame Thoughts:

A new week of Jeopardy! play—the 40th of 46 of Season 41—begins this week. With sister program Wheel of Fortune entering reruns as usual after 39, this is your yearly reminder that no other syndicated game show puts out more episodes per season than Jeopardy! does at 230. (46 weeks of 5 episodes).

Veterinarian Nikhil Joshi returns today to the Alex Trebek Stage as a 2-day champion, doing battle with startup founder Ted Nyman and writer/library student Jackie Rogoff. I know of the two challengers, I think I’m more likely to cheer for the one with ties to libraries!

(The following write-up is original content and is copyright 2025 The Jeopardy! Fan. It may not be copied without linked attribution back to this page.)

2018’s Black Panther was certainly a blockbuster, grossing more than $1.3 billion worldwide, and is still one of the top 20 highest-grossing films of all time. It also shares its name with the black panther, one of Gabon’s national symbols—with a pair of them as supporters of the shield on the Gabonese coat of arms.

I always enjoy Final Jeopardy clues when they can be worded incredibly succinctly like this. Short and sweet!

Andy’s Thoughts:

  • Wagering suggestions are not posted due to today’s game being a runaway.
  • Viewers are reminded that failing to phrase in the form of a question is a warning offense in the opening round, and only a penalty in Double Jeopardy.
  • Today’s box score will be linked to when posted by the show.
