Welcome to Day #6 of Mayim Bialik’s hosting stint! Through 5 days, $98,752 was raised for the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Here’s today’s Final Jeopardy (in the category Golden Age Actresses) for Monday, June 7, 2021 (Season 37, Game 181):

In 2013 the Victoria & Albert Museum acquired her archives, including letters from Laurence Olivier & Tennessee Williams

(correct response beneath the contestants)

Today’s contestants:

Julia Markham Cameron on Jeopardy!

Andy’s Pregame Thoughts: Julia’s picked up a pair of victories thus far, averaging about $13,000 a win. Her chances of victory will go up, though, if she can keep the incorrect response numbers lower.

PSA: The best way to keep COVID-19 at bay (and keep Jeopardy! producing new episodes) is for everybody to get their vaccinations as soon as they are able to. When wearing a mask, ensure that your mask covers both your nose and your mouth.

Correct response: Who is Vivien Leigh?

More information about Final Jeopardy: (The following write-up is original content and is copyright 2021 The Jeopardy! Fan. It may not be copied without linked attribution back to this page.)

Vivien Leigh met Laurence Olivier in 1936 after he went to congratulate her after a London theatre performance of The Mask of Virtue, and they began an affair when they had been cast opposite each other in Fire Over England in 1937. They married in 1940. Around the same time, Leigh began experiencing mental breakdowns; had they occurred today, Leigh certainly would have been treated for bipolar disorder. Unfortunately, not much was known about bipolar disorder at the time, and Leigh’s illness was unable to be treated, ultimately harming her marriage to Olivier and her own career, as she had a reputation of being difficult to work with. She died of tuberculosis in 1967.

The catalogue of the Vivien Leigh Archive is available online at the website of the Victoria & Albert Museum.
