Happy Monday! Today is George Stephanopoulos’ first day as guest host. Jeopardy! has been matching all contestants’ winnings; this week’s charity is Share Our Strength. Here’s today’s Final Jeopardy (in the category College Life) for Monday, July 12, 2021 (Season 37, Game 206):

This dish associated with Harvard goes back to the start of the school; the wife of the first headmaster made an awful version

(correct response beneath the contestants)

Today’s contestants:

Tim Moon, an attorney originally from Syracuse, New York

Tim Moon on Jeopardy!

Jaclyn Schuenzel, a stay-at-home mom from Redmond, Washington

Jaclyn Schuenzel on Jeopardy!

Jen Jazwinski, an early literacy librarian from Algonquin, Illinois (2-day total: $59,201)

Jen Jazwinski on Jeopardy!

Andy’s Pregame Thoughts: Jen has two wins under her belt; Win #1 was much more dominant than Win #2, though. Her chances of Win #3 will depend on whether we see the Jen that racked up $26,000 going into Final Jeopardy! or not.

PSA: The best way to keep COVID-19 at bay (and keep Jeopardy! producing new episodes) is for everybody to get their vaccinations as soon as they are able to. When wearing a mask, ensure that your mask covers both your nose and your mouth.

Correct response: What is hasty pudding?

More information about Final Jeopardy: (The following write-up is original content and is copyright 2021 The Jeopardy! Fan. It may not be copied without linked attribution back to this page.)

Hasty pudding is essentially a porridge of grains, traditionally wheat flour in 16th century Britain, that is boiled in water or milk until it has reached the consistency of an oatmeal. Harvard’s first headmaster, Nathaniel Eaton, was fired over accusations that his wife made a hasty pudding so awful that it was laced with goat dung. The dish later gave its name to one of the main Harvard social clubs, the Hasty Pudding Club; the founding members ate it at their first meeting.
