TechRepublic has a lengthy, but great, article about Bill Fernandez. A close personal friend of Steve Wozniak for years, it was Fernandez who was able to successfully build the Apple II computer for Apple, and the company took off.
He left the company for a few years before returning to Apple to do important work on the Macintosh. He left Apple for good in 1993. According to TechRepublic, Fernandez is currently launching his own tech startup, Omnibotics, which is looking to build smart home electronics (i.e. a home user interface that isn’t “mechanical switches and knobs”.)
