NATO, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, was founded in 1949 by several Western nations to provide collective security against the Soviet Union.
Article 5 with regards to NATO is the principle of collective defense. An attack against one ally is considered an attack against all allies, and it was invoked by NATO after the United States was attacked in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.
Since Alex Trebek’s diagnosis of stage 4 pancreatic cancer, many community members have been raising money. The Jeopardy! Fan Online Store is as well! All proceeds from any “Keep The Faith And We’ll Win” shirt sold will be donated to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. To date, over $370 has been raised.)
