Arizona’s first female governor was Rose Mofford, Arizona Secretary of State at the time who succeeded Evan Mecham, who was impeached and removed from office in 1988. Jane Dee Hull (who succeeded Fyfe Symington, who resigned after being convicted of bank fraud, a conviction later overturned), Janet Napolitano (who resigned to become Department of Homeland Security), and Jan Brewer served consecutively between 1997 and 2015.
Since Alex Trebek’s diagnosis of stage 4 pancreatic cancer, many community members have been raising money. The Jeopardy! Fan Online Store is as well! All proceeds from any “Keep The Faith And We’ll Win” shirt sold will be donated to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. To date, over $370 has been raised.)
