More information about Final Jeopardy:
Uttered during Herb Morrison’s radio broadcast on May 6, 1937, reporting on the Hindenburg disaster (he had been assigned to cover the docking by WLS Chicago). It burst into flames when docking in Manchester Township, New Jersey.
There have been many takes on the “Oh, the humanity” phrase in popular culture, including Les Nessman’s “Turkeys Away” episode of WKRP in Cincinnati, and even Scott Rogowsky turning it into the catchphrase “Oh, the HQmanity” during “savage” questions on HQ Trivia.

Andy’s Thoughts:
- For the projections above, I have elected to implement Version 3 of the prediction model, which takes into account historical player performance in the subsequent game given performance in previous games, as Version 1 and Version 2 of that model was overrating players in that respect.
- With regards to Jill’s performance: The good news? 0 unforced errors. The bad? She’s 0/2 on Daily Doubles.
- Niño is 3-for-12 in escape rooms? I am 3-for-3 in them.
- Am I the only one outside of New England to find New England-style hot dog buns weird?
- I’m sure that there are going to be two camps of people on the Internet tonight: Camp A, consisting of people happy that the show accepted “Sears Tower”; and Camp B, consisting of those upset that the show did not insist upon Willis Tower. (For what it’s worth, the clue made reference to the completion date of 1973, thus, the old name should be and was accepted.)
