Here’s today’s Final Jeopardy (in the category Science Fiction) for Friday, March 7, 2025 (Season 41, Game 130):
Name shared by a groundbreaking magazine launched in April 1926 & a TV anthology series that premiered in September 1985
(correct response beneath the contestants)
Today’s Jeopardy! contestants:
Roger Ghaman, a TV editor & substitute teacher from Studio City, California
Omar Abu Realh, an aerospace engineer from Annandale, Virginia
Laura Faddah, a manager from Memphis, Tennessee (7-day total: $87,400)
Andy’s Pregame Thoughts:
The exciting 2025 postseason came to an end yesterday, as the syndicated version of Jeopardy! returns to regular play. We return with 7-day champion Laura Faddah defending her title against Virginia engineer Omar Abu Realh and California TV editor Roger Ghaman.
One thing that I find absolutely baffling, though, is so much of the viewer dislike of the new order of Jeopardy!—essentially, the build-up to Jeopardy! Masters and the need to give as many players as possible a shot at that Masters showcase—basically amounts to “how dare ABC, actually wanting to give air time to our favorite program in prime time, the absolute audacity of them!” I will tell you: most fanbases would be absolutely killing for the amount of exposure Jeopardy! gets—just look at how upset Wheel of Fortune superfan Robert Santoli has been over the years at the thought of Jeopardy! getting more exposure than Wheel.
For those of you looking forward to the return of Stephen Fry on UK television screens in Series 2 of Jeopardy!, good news on that front was released this week: Series 2 of Jeopardy! in the United Kingdom returns at 3:00 PM UK time on March 17, airing on ITV1/ITVX. This series will consist of 25 episodes, airing until April 18. For those wanting to follow in North America, things are slightly more complicated due to the airdates straddling the time change in the United Kingdom. Due to the fact that the UK switches to British Summer Time on March 30 (instead of on March 9, when the clocks change in North America), the series will be airing at 11:00 AM EDT for the first two weeks and at 10:00 AM EDT for the final three.

Created by Hugo Gernsback in 1926, Amazing Stories was the first dedicated science fiction magazine; it published the first stories of such later luminaries in the genre as Isaac Asimov and Ursula K. Le Guin. Its name was licensed to Steven Spielberg in the 1985s to title Spielberg’s science fiction anthology series, that lasted for two seasons in the 1980s.
