In case anyone was wondering, one game in J! Archive had a higher combined total than this one going into Final Jeopardy. It happened on April 7, 1988 – Bob Beers also went wild on the Daily Doubles that day, and on that day became the first person to ever bet $10,000 on a Daily Double.. Beers in that game and Steve Berman in this one are the only two to do the equivalent of what Chris did today — that is, bet $10,000 more than once in the same game on Daily Doubles.
