Kathy managed to keep Jerry from running COLORFUL MOVIES by getting the $1,000 clue. Needless to say, he dominated the first 15 clues of the show!
Kathy made the same mistake I did on WHAT’S MY AIRLINE $1000 (You’ll see a 3-leaf clover on the web page of this European carrier); I said “Ryanair” as well!

Avram got off to the best start in the round, getting the first 3 clues! However, Jerry got the 4th clue, and the 5th was LANGUAGES OF AFRICA $1600. If you’ve spent any time watching, you know the Daily Double loves to sit there, and there it was! Scores:

Jerry went conservative and bet just $1,200. His clue: With 50 million speakers, this Bantu language is the most widely spoken native language on the continent. Jerry’s correct response put him at $10,000!
Jerry immediately went over to “-UP” and picked up both $6,000 and more adulation from the audience. The applause was more important for sure, though!
The final Daily Double remained hidden for quite awhile. It finally appeared on the 29th clue of the round, under SHAKESPEAREAN RELATIVES $1600! The $2,000 clue was still to play.

If I’m Jerry, I’m betting $4,900 here. He bet just $2,600 though. His clue: Bianca’s sister. A correct response put him at $25,000.
Shockingly, for the second game in a row, a locked-out challenger with a chance to break the lock offered no guess whatsoever on the final clue (Brother of King Edward IV). If only I could get so lucky!
