Warning: This page contains spoilers for the May 10, 2023, second game of Jeopardy! Masters — please do not scroll down if you wish to avoid being spoiled. It will be updated alongside the Eastern Time airing of the show, beginning at about 8:30 PM Eastern.
This game’s Jeopardy! Masters contestants:
Matt Amodio, a postdoctoral researcher from Cambridge, Massachusetts (3 points)
Mattea Roach, a writer & podcaster from Toronto, Ontario, Canada (3 points)
Andrew He, a software developer from San Francisco, California (4 points)
Andy’s Pregame Thoughts:
Yesterday’s two winners—Matt Amodio & Mattea Roach—have been paired with Andrew He for the second game in tonight’s episode. This is the first time that Mattea has played either Andrew or Matt, while it’s the third meeting between Andrew and Matt already (they’ve split the first two.) Matt may have confidence again for the first time in a long time; last night’s game ended a 4-game losing streak for Matt. This match’s closeness will definitely be determined by how well Andrew finds and plays the Daily Doubles.
One further note (and I’m putting this in the thread for both games: The next episode (Games 7&8) will be airing on Friday, May 12; ABC won’t be airing Jeopardy! Masters on Thursdays.
PSA: The best way to keep COVID-19 at bay (and keep Jeopardy! producing new episodes) is for everybody to get their vaccinations as soon as they can, including any boosters as recommended. When wearing a mask, please ensure that your mask covers both your nose and your mouth.
